About Rachel
Here at Rachel's Cafe and Eatery, we’re committed to creating a warm, welcoming, farm-to-table dining experience that celebrates our local community. We proudly source our ingredients from nearby farms and wineries, ensuring fresh flavors in every dish while supporting local producers. Our restaurant is more than just a place to eat—it's a family-friendly space where everyone feels at home. Rachel, a lifelong Ramona resident and dedicated mother of four, grew up cooking alongside her mother, a talented chef. Together, they shared dreams of opening a restaurant: her mom would helm the kitchen, while Rachel would bake. Although Rachel’s mother passed away from cancer in 2018, she pressed forward to honor their vision, opening Rachel's Urban Eatery in 2021. Tragically, shortly after opening, Rachel’s 17-year-old son, Anthony, was killed in a car accident. Despite the immense loss, Rachel found strength in her family, friends, and community, choosing to continue on this journey she loves with her daughters. Today, Rachel’s Cafe and Eatery stands as a tribute to her mother and son, a place filled with love, resilience, and the joy of sharing good food with those around us.
